Education & Support

AAOKENYA principal mission is to connect Kenyans with asthma and their caregivers to resources and sources of support such as information, activities, treatment options, facilities, and interactive media.

We offer education, resources and support programs for children, for newly diagnosed individuals, those in remote communities and others. Our call-back service – the Asthma and Allergy HelpLine – is staffed by professional Certified Respiratory Educators who are equipped to address medical, social and emotional concerns faced by members of our community. This is a free service, offered in English.

All our educational materials are up-to-date, evidence-based and verified by clinical experts. If you are looking for information on asthma or allergies, we invite you to browse through our web-based resources. We also offer helpful print publications that are available for ordering by individuals, clinics, schools, and community centres.

For those searching for an asthma clinic near you, you can use our interactive asthma clinic locator.

We also host a vibrant membership community, the AAOKENYA Membership, which is comprised of Kenyans living with asthma, parents, caregivers, educators, support staff, medical professionals and others. We invite you to join this free membership and connect with others like you. Membership perks include access to a members-only section of our website including our private Community Forum, use of an interactive Asthma Action Plan and subscription to our quarterly newsletters and Alerts.
